Wordpress - Is there a complete Desktop Blogging Client?
September 20th, 2008 Posted in Blogging Related IssuesLately I have been searching around looking for a decent wordpress desktop blogging client. Unfortunately to date I have not been able to find one that fits all of my needs.
As I type this post, I am using Mars Edit and so far it seems to be the best of the bunch.
What I need is someone to develop a client which also somehow downloads from my blog the advanced fields. I’m not talking about the post status etc… What I want is the fields which are created by some of the plugins I use - primarily SEO tags.
I have seen some good posts whilst out and about such as:

but many people seem to be in the same boat as myself.
There must be someone out there who is willing to program a complete client. I would certainly be more than happy to pay for it!

My suggestion would be to find the best open source client you can, and post a project on rentacoder.com, you should be able to get some of the features you want added for a very low fee (maybe the price of a commercial app).
