If you haven’t tried out Zemanta yet, I seriously suggest you give this tool a go.

This is an amazing plugin which we can use in wordpress to automatically insert pictures, tags and related links in to our posts.

Well I’m now happy to say, that I have officially changed my opinion since the release of version 1.2.

This whole document has been written in MacSpeech Dictate. For the purpose of this post, I won’t be editing a single word. As you can see, the accuracy so far is 100%. I think what else’s helped me is that I got the VXI pro USB headset.

If you are already the owner of MacSpeech Dictate and have not upgraded to version 1.2 I really suggest that you do so right now.

One thing that I can really suggest however, is that don’t take the program’s word for it when it says it has collected enough data on your voice. Make sure you do all the voice training and vocabulary training before you start trying to use the program.

I’ve been waiting for this race all season.  Somehow I knew it would come down to a title fight between Massa and Hamilton.  Unfortunately the driver I want to win has to have every condition go his way on the day for him to win the championship this year. As much as I want Massa to win, I don’t really think that it is likely.  But I’ve seen stranger things happen.

When you look at the stats for the season it’s hardly suprising - 5 race wins each.

Whilst Massa is happy with his car and Hamilton is claiming his is “blindingly quick”, let’s just hope Raikkonen steps up to the challenge

It’s absoloutely amazing the niche markets people come up with!

This one is my favourite so far I wasn’t sure when or whether the owner would come outside with a rifle and shoo (or shoot) me away.

As I type this post, I am using Mars Edit and so far it seems to be the best of the bunch.

What I need is someone to develop a client which also somehow downloads from my blog the advanced fields. I’m not talking about the post status etc… What I want is the fields which are created by some of the plugins I use - primarily SEO tags.

I have seen some good posts whilst out and about such as:

but many people seem to be in the same boat as myself.

There must be someone out there who is willing to program a complete client. I would certainly be more than happy to pay for it!

I understand that it has been built in to the program to hinder spammers efforts however I don’t understand why there is no option to toggle it on and off.

This blog is particularly new and although I’m not particularly concerned at this stage whether people comment on my posts or not I have been making a concerted effort to check out other peoples posts and comment when I have something of value to say.

In doing so, I don’t think that a microscopic amount of PR juice from that site is that bad in turn for someone taking the time to being actively involved. In the world of websites and blogging, decent commentary in my opinion will also help with search engine positioning.

As of today I have installed the “Do Follow Plugin” and encourage anyone else who thinks this is worthwhile to do the same.

Because my blog is small in the big scheme of things I will take the time to moderate all comments saving me linking to a spammy site.

I’m sure I’ve had a great time and I will have many stories to tell.

I love predicting the future.

Another great reason to use wordpress, you can set it and forget it.

You are so cheap and offer so much fantastic value but at what cost?

Speed, reliability and support. I have looked at moving the websites I have hosted with you elsewhere but at this stage I just can’t justify it.

Thank christ I don’t have my bread and butter websites hosted with you.

My latest problem is Webalizer not working.  I start it, I stop it, I do all the things you tell me to do after you get back to me 4 days later but it is still not working!

Please fix the problem..

Why haven’t I moved?  Free IP addresses.  Tell me where I can get 6 IP addresses for under $10 a month including hosting and I’m out of here.

You know what, who cares!

So many people waste so much time sitting there pondering over the forums posting questions and waiting for the next Google update that they forget to actually keep improving their business model.

Don’t get me wrong, in the world of Web sites, Google would have to be the most important influential factor.

It can be exciting watching your site go from zero to something overnight but seriously for the most of us it takes time.

Imagine the disappointment you face when you have spent and focused all your energy on one Google update and you don’t get what you think you deserve. What do you do? Do you throw in the towel and say this is all too hard or, do you keep on with your business?

Some people will claim to achieve earnings in a short period of time. Some of this is true most of it isn’t.

All I am saying is keep on doing what you are doing and eventually you will get there but don’t expect to be making much within the first year.

It’s all about building a solid base to work from and then everything will become easier and work exponentially.

Tarragona Spain

I’m half way through my vacation in Europe.  So far we’ve travelled to England, Germany and France.

I would have to say that the Formula One Race in Valencia was seriously disappointing.

Watching the Formula One.  I couldn’t wait.  We had VIP tickets and it was going to be fantastic.  We were meant to be picking up the tickets from the Media Accreditation Office which was “clearly signposted” apparently.  Let me just say that after over 2 hours of walking around in the stinking heat, going to “Information” booths and so on, practically no one had an idea where this office was let alone the VIP area.

This event was definately not the world class event that I am used to seeing.

I’ll just have to put this down to being the first race hosted in Valencia.

One good thing though… Massa Won!

How do you back up all your important local files to your Web server?

I spent a lot of time investigating this looking for software on both my PC and my Mac. The truth of the matter is, there is a lot of rubbishy software out there. All I wanted to be able to do was set up a way to synchronize my backups with a minimum of fuss. You would think that it would be pretty easy really but I was wrong!

I tried to so many different software programs to try and accomplish this task that I almost drove myself crazy.

Anyway, I will make it simple for you. If you own a Mac, get yourself a copy of Yummy FTP. Why would I choose this program over the abundance of programs already available?

There are 6 reasons:

1. I can use it as a regular FTP program
2. it is multi-threading
3. I can synchronize my files with out having to zip them up
4. it gives a report on what it is going to do before you hit the okay button
5. it doesn’t crash when trying to do multiple tasks like Filezilla does
6. it works seamlessly and fast

It’s really a shame that it has such a dodgy name but its features outshine the moment that you start using it.

This website is a perfect example. as we speak this website currently sits on PR0. why? Because greedy Web masters think that a link from PR0 website is worthless.

Whilst there is a lot of truth in this theory what many people don’t realise is that more than likely a PR0 website will eventually turn in to something more over time.

I have been creating websites since 2002 and have achieved page rank much higher than this without worrying about hoarding page rank. Why? Because I don’t consider the page rank of a webpage to be worth as much as a relevant link. What do I mean by relevant? Simple-based on the same topic and not a spammy type page.

I know you are asking the question as to why I just don’t link to this site from some of my existing sites.  I am trying out a new business model which I want to keep a separate from my existing business.

What I am now doing however is keeping a spreadsheet on Webmasters which have denied me a link from their web site so if they ask me for a link from any website which I own, what do you think I am going to say?

Bugger Off!

Back in the days when the Google sandbox theory was often throw at around many of the Forum sites, everyone had different ways of avoiding getting trapped in this hypothetical sandbox.

People discussed different tips and tricks on how to avoid this so-called penalty and being a newbie back in those days I spent a lot of of time on those forums listening to what people said.

I spent that much time focusing on how to gain high search engine visibility that I didn’t end up publishing websites as quickly as what I should have.

These days however I prefer to spend more time focusing on building a mixture of good quality websites in the areas of affiliate marketing and product sales. I find that creating a mixture of different types of Web sites allows me not to have all my eggs in the one basket.

So why do I publish a link to a website which is not completed? Simple. It gets the sites main index page in to Google as early as possible so that when Ieventually  publish the rest of the website completely it seems to get indexed more thoroughly at an earlier stage and does not get stuck in this hypothetical sandbox.
